SANOG-28 Mumbai

The Twenty Eighth edition of the biannual conferences and workshops of Network Operators of the South Asian region, SANOG 28, is being held in Mumbai, India.

This is the fourth time a SANOG is being hosted in Mumbai. It is hosted by ISPAI and co-hosted by NIXI. It will run from from 1st till 9th August 2016.

SANOG27 – Workshops Start

The Workshops program of SANOG27 has started in Kathmandu today. Each workshop is a 5-day hands-on technical training aimed at professionals. The event will conclude on 1st of February with the completion of the workshops.

SANOG27 – Day 2

The second day of SANOG27 program has started with Conference program, followed by conference closing and Lunch.

The second sets of event of the summit – Tutorials – will start after Lunch time.

Today, the principal sponsor of SANOG27 summit – Huawei – is hosting a gala dinner for the SANOG27 delegates at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu.

SANOG27 to being on Monday

SANOG27 is scheduled to begin from tomorrow in Kathmandu. Hosted by NPIX, SANOG27 has been supported by the Government of Nepal, Nepal Telecommunications Authority, ISP Association of Nepal, CAN Federation of Nepal.

SANOG started to bring together operators for educational as well as cooperation among Network and Internet Service Providers has grown to an international event for operators, policy makers, service providers, trainers, educators, researchers and technical administrators. It provides a regional forum to discuss operational issues and technologies of interest to data operators in the South Asian Region.

During these 8 days of SANOG – 27, the organizers are organizing different activities viz:

  • SANOG -27 Conference (1.5 days:- January 25-26, 2016);
  • SANOG -27 Tutorial (1.5 days:- January 26-27, 2016); and
  • SANOG – 27 Workshop (5 days:- January 28-February 01, 2016)

Further, the SANOG-27 Tutorial and SANOG-27 Workshop are divided into following three (3) parallel tracks during later five (5) days:

  • IPv4/IPv6 Routing
  • DNSSEC & Network Security
  • Virtualization and Cloud Computing.

The entire event will be hosted at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Kathmandu, Nepal from January 25th 2016 to February 1st, 2016. Fellowship for SANOG27 Announced

Fellowship result for the upcoming SANOG27 Kathmandu has been published. Please check SANOG27 Fellowship website for details. Congratulations to all those selected. As the host of the event, we look forward to welcoming you in Kathmandu in January 2016.

The fellowship program has been made possible with a grant from the Internet Society (ISOC). The Fellowship encourages folks from the South Asian Region to participate in the workshop, tutorials and conference.

Local fellows (fellows from Nepal) will be provided with free registrations, while fellows from other countries will be provided Airfare and Accommodation.

SANOG27 Announcement

NPIX is pleased to announce the hosting of SANOG-XXVII, in Kathmandu, Nepal from January 25th 2016 to February 1st 2016. This will be the fourth time SANOG is coming to town and the 5th time in Nepal.

SANOG is a bi-annual forum for the Network Operators from South-Asian region, which is also participated by broader AP-region and global operators. We are expecting over 400 people to participate in the event, including many local participants. You can take part in this event in any or all of the programs including workshops, tutorials and conferences. If you have any interesting topics for the operator community, we encourage you to present papers during the conference. We will be encouraging more women to participate in this event.
